Honda applies for cylinder deactivation tech for their motorcycles

The World's Largest motorcycle maker is rumored to be introducing cylinder deactivation for their touring bike's V4 powerplant in a move to keep fuel mileage at bay. Honda's upcoming VFR1200 motorcycle, which we believe will be the first to use the new patent will also feature a first with its new dual clutch gearbox. The patent application from Honda appears to cover the cylinder deactivation to unequal front and rear cylinder spacing.
