I was really torn between the 1700 and the 1900... The 1700, to me, had a 'big block chevy' feel to it... I LOVED it... Plenty of power... and the pulse of the machine really meant a lot to me.... The 1900 with the crank being counter-balanced had a lot smoother feel to it... Believe me... You can still feel just enough pulse on the 1900... It really came down to what type of riding that I do... I am more of an interstate / highway person and I really felt that the vibration of the 1700 would drive me nuts at highway speeds after a while.... I opt'ed for the 1900 and have never looked back... After a Patrick Racing Big Air Kit and a Power Commander III, it truly is a torque monster... I love it and 8500 miles later it still causes the drool to start... Personally to me it would boil down to what type of riding that I do... You can't go wrong with EITHER of these machines....

I have a Roadstar and Love it, I thought of trading/selling for a Roadliner but decided to keep my Bike, here are the advantages of the Roadstar - 1. Cheaper to own 2. Bigger Gas Tank 3. More Accessories for the Bike 4. Better on Tires 5. Better selection of Tires for the Bike 2005 Roadstar 1700 Maroon

You will love the Roadliner. I have the Stradoliner and it is by far the greatest ride I have ever had. Power, comfort and style. One thing it has that change my mind to purchase is the fuel injection. Way better IMOHO than carbs. Jim
