I picked one up on Saturday. It is one hell of a bike!! I traded my 04 V-Star 1100 on it. I originally was going to get the "S" in the red color but once I saw the red with the black an chrome mix I was torn. The tie breaker came down to the wheels. On the red and black versions the wheels have a gloss black band in the center of the wheel with polished accents that just sets them off. The "S" modles wheels are all the same, no color. Plus the chrome accents that they are coming out with will look great against the black engine. I was able to save about a 1000.00 when it was all said and done.I got 4500 on my trade which wasn't bad and 7.9% F/I for 72 months.

I got nothing but stares and honking horns all the way home. Several people rolled down their windows to ask what kind of bike it was. The seat position and ride are fantastic. It will, as most bikes do, need a better seat for longer rides. The power is AWSOME! This bike moves out in any gear! I was at 70 in the blink of an eye. I only got half way in to the throttle. There is no doubt this bike will lay rubber not only at a stand still but while moving. A hyper charger, pipes and a tune will turn this bike into a real monster. The tough part is it is getting cold where I live, (NJ) and waiting for the aftermarket guys to make the goodies!! I will see if I can get some good up close shots of the bike to post tomorrow.

The Raider is a very nice bike, But having ridden both my Stratoliner and the Raider, I'll take the Strat every time.

The ride is much smoother and it handles better.

I guess if you want the "custom chopper" look instead of the "neo streamliner" then the raider is your bike.

I've not been on a bike for 20 years and my brother has been trying to talk me into getting one for the past 2 years. I've looked around for a bit but just haven't found anything that really moved me to fork over the cash. I almost bought a Roadliner last year and I think this years Roadliner-S in Raven and Red looks great! But when I saw the ads for the Raider, my interest really skyed!

To make a long story short, I picked up my Raider-S last Wednesday and got one hell of a deal on it.... 12,400.00 out the door! Pictures do not do this bike justice. You really need to see it up close. All I can say is that the Raider got my a$$ off the couch and back on the road after 20 years and I'm lovin' it.

My brother is a Harley man all the way, and his "guidance" has been towards the local Harley dealer. But when he saw the bike up close and took it for a ride, his tune changed. He loved the bike as well.

Default Who has a Raider S ??????

I bought the new Raider S this past Feb. What a great bike. I have had Yamaha's since 1980's and this one is the best I've had. Powerful and very easy handling. Gets lots of great comments from even Harley riders. Don't much care for the stock pipes, but soon there will be plenty of after market pipes for this bike. I travel on very long trips with my bikes in the summer and this one is very comfortable. I did make a mistake and bought the Yamaha saddle bags for this bike and they stink. I'll be trying to sell them on Ebay soon. BTW, the small (14") windsheild is great. Rode the other day in the rain and it performed very well. The Yamaha engineering people did a great job in designing this new bike.

Congrats on the new bikes guys!

I want one sooooo bad but have to wait till I pay off the warrior.

I agree, the stock pipes aren't that great, much better than the stock warrior pipe, not sure what they were thinking with that one... LOL.

I hear they got some GREAT power to them, the engine is a little bigger than mine and that thing is a rocket.

Congrats again! Ride safe

I just got my Blue Raider_S on Saturday. I LOVE this bike. the power and feel of the bike is just amazing. i really love the chopper/cruiser look to it and the way you actually sit in the bike and not on the bike. it flows really well!
