Default Stratoliner windshield

When I first got my Stratoliner the windshield had a sticker that said
"MAX SPEED IS 80". What is the real story behind that. Because sometimes on the highway, the average speed could be 80 - 85 mpg and I do not want to take a chance of the shield breaking apart on me at that speed.....it might leave a mark.

That warning sitcker is on my bike but it's in the saddle bag stating something like the bags aint made for 80 mph plus speeds. Mine has been in the triple digits with the bags and shield on and no problems.
