Default Brake squeel

I have a Virago 750. The front brakes squeel on it all the time until I engage the front brakes then it stopes. If I clean off my front rotor with brake and parts cleaner it stopes this for a while then startes again. There seems to be lots of brake pad left. Should I try and deglaze the front rotor, or just replace the front brake pads. I don't know.

Some brake pads just squeak. Try sanding them a bit and deglaze your rotor if you know how to do it safely. I don't.

I have a compressor in my garage...I just hit it with the air gun from time to time.

Be careful. That stuff is highly carcinogenic, which is why you're supposed to use brake cleaner. Don't breathe it!

Yes, that's true about it being a carcinogenic...I should have mentioned that in my thread. Thanks!
