Default 97 Royal Star

Looking at purchasing a 97 Royal Star with about 25k miles. Wondering what your thoughts were on this model and the V4 'V-twin' motor.

thx

Beernut;
Very ,very solid bike !! If it's well taken care you should get over 150,000 miles out of it. Some think the Royals are slow but they don't know how to ride one. The V-4 loves to Rev them RPMs. It has a rev limiter so you can't hurt it. The Bike will go to 40+ in first and 60+ in second. When you hit the limiter in third your at over 90mph.
I've had two Royals and two Ventures not including my wifes "97" Royal Star Palomino. When I traded my "97" Royal in on a "06" Stratoliner it had 40,000 miles on it and was running very strong. If I didn't have my wifes Royal to fall back on I don't know if I would have traded. Love the V-4's still
Hope this helps

Smile Yamaha Venture is a great bike.

I love my Venture so much in fact I just bought another. Have my '99 that is totally tricked out, don't think you can buy more chrome. Have 62K on it. I traded my Victory + cash for a 06 RSV. Really no difference in the '99. So now I'm selling the '99. Asking $7500 if anyone interested.
