Default starting problem

2001 kawasaki classic 1500 E4

Hey guys, long time reader first time poster
Quick question for you, I just bought a mephis shade windshield, and went to install it last night, i lowered the headlight (was hanging there for a few hours by the wires) and realized i had the wrong hardware for the windshield. So i put the light back on and now the bike won't start. I have lights and horn and all, but when i go to crank it over, i get nothing. Like its a dead starter switch. My question to you all is, all those wires that run up into the light, do any of those effect the starting system? and what should i do next? I checked the fuse and everything i know how to do, the battery life is fine, ect. Thanks in advance all
Seth

Classic....oops, I flipped the kill switch by accident....problem.

Or did you have the bike on the center stand or a rear jack and have the side stand UP ?? Or it's not in neutral ??

Possible that someting in/around the headlight pulled loose but I think it is very unlikely.

PS It usually gains you nothing by posting the same question in more than one forum. Most participants look at them ALL.

You're most welcome. You'd be surprised how often that kind of problem turns out to be something "simple" that was just overlooked. I've done it. I'd guess that most here have done it.

Hope somebody else is able to provide more help than I did.
