Default Need Help Vn900 Thursty

HI hope some one can help?
a friend of the wife's has just brought her self a 07 vn900 custom. she has had it for a month now and we talking and she is only getting around 160km to a tank of gas [petrol] where me and the miss are gitting nearly 300km per tank and i think the tank on the vn900 is bigger than the m50 and c50.
if any can help would be great as she loves the bike.

1 windscreen
2 shifting gears
3 tyres
4 roads we are on eg: traffic,lights

I just got mine Monday i put 3 gallons in it from empty. Ive logged 92 miles and still showing over half a tan (all city driving) and shifting around what feels like 4k rpms. seems like 50-55mpg at least. Others have reported a loss of 6mpg by adding a windshield.
