| What site dared say that there where a lot of problems with the C50 ? A Vulcan site maybe ? C50 is a great bike, not perfect but what bike is ? They're both good bikes, the C50 usually comes out ahead in magazine tests but the Vulcan does ok also.

| I don't know what site you were on, but the C-50, and it's twin the M-50 get very little bad said about them on this site. I had an M-50 for about 6,000 miles and thought it was a very nice ride with no problems what so ever. The only reason I got rid of it was to get out from under some of the work and expence of owning 3 road bikes at the same time. The 900 Vulcan is a nice bike too, and I'd be hard pressed to pick my favorite between it and the C-50. I guess it would just come down to seating position between the two. What problems did you hear about on the other site concerning the C-50?

| Don't even ride the C50, but I'm sure if there were any flaws other than small subjective ones, I would have read them in triplicate by now. It's about that obvious.

| I have an M with about 6,000 miles and no issues. Here is an article that compares several bikes in that class. They used the M50 not C50 in this test. The 900 is in it too. 2006 Light-Middleweight Cruiser Comparison |

| Refrigerator Magnet Test Engineer ![]() | I've ridden the 900 Classic. Nice bike, but not my cup of tea. On a 20min ride I spent 10 trying to get used to the heal/toe shifter.

| Refrigerator Magnet Test Engineer ![]() | It's the heel portion that bothered me. Lift foot off board to down shift. Almost hit upshift putting foot back on the board. DOH

| I had the heel to shifter on my 1600. To fix the problem I just un bolted the shifter took the heel part off and put the bolt back in. No more problem. I think either would be good. I have the 1600 classic vulcan and have had no problems.

| Both great bikes. I went with the vulcan 900 custom because of its looks. The m50 handles better but i think the vulcan 900 wins at the rest. its a fresher design. Id go with which ever has the better deal or is more comfortable for you.

| I don't know who told you the C50 has problems. They don't. I used to ride a C50T and still frequent a Suzuki Volusia/Boulevard forum. They are virtually trouble-free bikes. Now I am not saying they are the perfect bike. Suzuki made them very dependable and very affordable. Affordable means you give up some features found on more expensive bikes. You can buy a $7000 C50 or you can buy an $18000 Harley, how much do you want to spend?

| Newbie | JmalB, thats funny, my brother has a C50 and he took some time to get used to the heel/toe shifter on the floorboard. I have a 900 custom, no heel/toe here. I bought my 900 custom same week my brother got his C50. We are each in love with our bikes. Neither one of us has had any problems at all with them. KS, is really a lot about what do you like. He got floorboards, already added saddlebags and ordered a windshield. The 900 LT comes with those as well. And here is a review head to head : Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic Meets Suzuki Boulevard C50 - Happy Mediums - Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine

| Just stopped in to read the reviews about the C50 (I'm considering the M50 - IF I can find one) and the Kawasaki 900 (I'm also considering the 900 Custom). Lots of good information and "thanks" to Amvince and Slaponte for the links to those articles. Fantastic reading.....really helping make my mind up (because I was also considering a Honda (1100 - 1300)). Thanks again everyone.
