Default Newbie Greating/Question

Hello all! I am having trouble with a 95 vulcan 800, bike runs great at idle, but when I release the clutch lever the motor stalls. I have checked the clutch plates/springs and found no problems, I am out of ideas about this. Please Help!!

need to add this info, it will shift through all the gears fine as long as the clutch lever is pulled in.

Side-stand safety switch is bad or out of adjustment.

Or, if you are a new rider, you need to rev the engine a bit and let the clutch out slower and maybe turn the idle speed up a bit.
