| I just bought a new custom on tuesday. I took it to the shop today to get some new pipes put on it and my wife who was following me told me i was consistently doing 15mph less than what my speedo said on the bike. does anyone else have this problem? i asked the dealer and they said "it is very common and that there is nothing we can do about it" my complaint is...they didn't tell me about this before i bought it and now they are telling me that they can't fix it???? i bought a broken bike!

| Newbie | in my experience on the subject most bikes are off to some degree (usually less then 5%) but in my experience with my custom and with other 900 owners i know, our bike seems to be leaning more towards 10%. the best way to truly find out would be a GPS... i would say that you in fact did not by a broken bike as i have the same problem, just maybe a confused one |

| Havent had any problems with my speedo, just a few mph off above 60mph.... maybe I just got lucky. You guys found any place with a decent amount of accesories yet? They are still so hard to find. Had to fab up the sidemount license plate, and definately want a different seat.

| Newbie | PhatPerformanceParts.com they seem to have some accessories and some of the better prices ive come across, they are usually consistently below J&P cycle's prices. kawa now has a gel seat that i have heard rave reviews from and it is cheaper then the corbins and mustangs, however it really does a number on you if you are looking to keep that low profile seat look

If you are really off by 15 mph around 60, that would be a 25% error and I'd %%%%% until they fix it. The norm seems to be 10%.
