Default Buying a new bike

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. I've been a biker since I was about 11 or 12 and was riding my dad's 1965 Honda 90 around the dirt paths in Scottdale, Pa. What fun. then is was on to a 71 SL100 and then a 73 Kaw 350 Bighorn (awesome bike!). Then a Yamaha 650 and then on to my last bike
which I have for many years ... a 73 Kawasaki 900 Z1. What a machine!
Sold that is 95 and have not a bike till recently when we got my wife a Vulcan 500 LTD. Now it's my turn and ....

I am getting ready to buy a Vulcan 900 and thought I'd get a little insight into what everyone who has recently bought that bike got it out the door for $. And also if you have any websites related to the topic of what the "real" cost of the bike is and what we should be paying, I'd appreciate a reference to them.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Ride hard and ride safe !!

Welcome aboard.

The Suzuki C50 has been the flavor of the month, but that's not to say the Vulcan 900 isn't a very nice bike. I'm looking around at one myself.

Just pulled this up, read and learn.

pinky rings are a canada-only thing, though, so we're special! ha!

I'm thinking I should qualify my statement...
I work with Engineers every day I hang my hat at work. The pinky rings I'm referring to are the ones that come in little brown envelopes that are a rite of passage for enginneers. They tell said individuals that they are now qualified and available to solve all the worlds problems. They are not a Canada only thing.

And Mark, I'm sure your 'cahones' are still intact. I wasn't implying anything else. For those who have worked with engineers, I'm sure you'll catch my drift.

Again Mark...Welcome aboard.

um, i know which ones they are - i wear one. pinky finger of the hand with which an engineer signs documents (so it could be left hand or right hand, depending on whether said engineer is left-handed or right-handed). they started off as a canadian engineering 'thing', though i've now learned that the yanks have stolen our idea!

ah well, at least OUR rings are still nicely shaped / chamfered / faceted. so yeah, we're STILL special. muahaha!!!
