| Sounds like fun, but I don't want to give up my M50... It's too much fun, no matter what else gets parked in the garage with it!

| Seat Tester | OK, slight change in plans. I bought an 05 1600 Vulcan with added on goodies. (windshield, saddle bags, and sissy bar) This is my 1st bike bigger than an 800 and I have a few questions. The bike has just under ten thousand miles on it. Is there anything I need to be aware of? Technical problums ect.. On the ride home today it seemed like it was running hot, ( i could feel the hot air on my hands) and when I got it home in the garage it smelled like anti-freez. I see no leaks and the temp light never came on. Like I said though, new bike new smells, I was just wondering if any of you had any ideas. Thanks... |

| I purchased a 2006 Vulcan Nomad in Oct 05. It's black and chrome. Came setup. She fits me well. I'm still working on bonding to her ride. Unfortunately my work has had me away from home in Va. for most of 2006. I'm looking forward to more riding time but job keeps me busy.

I assume you bought a Classic? If the bike was new - it will have a hot smell as the new bike heats up for the first few times. Even if it was used, someone may have overfilled the cooling system. Your going to feel heat with your hand. When the cooling fan comes on you will really feel some heat Sounds like you are OK. Enjoy your rides. If things keep smelling hot later, then worry.
