| I took a quick ride on a 900, and was very impressed with it's quality and performance. It does not feel any more powerfull than the M50, though it may be in some way. My opinion between the two is if you could get the 900 for another five hundred or so, I'd get it.

| I've had my 900 Classic for a few weeks and put about 1200 miles on it so far. I also was considering an M50 or a C50 since I had two Volusias in the past but this one was used and I got a good deal on it. So far I've been very happy with it. Can't compare it to the M50 as I've never ridden one. I have quite a few friends who have one, though, and they're all happy. Different bikes for different butts, I reckon. Biggest problem we all have is that there are NO accessories available except for the usual generic or universal ones. Just gotta have patience. Ride safe, Barry |

| Hey folks... This is exactly the question I was hoping to get opinions on. I am looking at the Suzuki M50 and Kawasaki Vulcon 900. Does anyone have any insights on them?...Is one noticeably better than the other?...How different are they? Thanks much... R. |

| There is a nice review/comparison with a C50 in the new issue of Motorcycle Cruiser! You should check that out as well. Sounds like a great ride. As far as riding one, I haven't even seen one yet. I did see the new Yammy 1300 today, but that is the only new metric model I've seen in person!

| I'm a proud new owner of a new Galaxy Silver '06 Vulcan 900 Classic. With only a hundred miles, I'll share my impressions so far, for those looking at this model. It is a very striking bike to look at, and is a large scale machine. Parked next to my V2K, it even sits a little taller at the rear fender than the bigger bike. Tire size is noticeably smaller though. Exhaust system, and engine cases/covers all look beefy. Exhaust tone so far is somewhat muted, until you're turning some higher revs. This 900 replaces my '05 M50, and performance/handling/ride all exceed the M by various margins. Transmission is remarkably smooth. Engine pulls strongly and smoothly, even with single pin crankshaft. It is counterbalanced. Fuel injection works as well as anybody's, and looks to be getting at least 40mpg. Handlebars take a little getting used to. Seat is decent, and floorboards get straight "A" 's for being the same large items as on the V2K. I've come to really like being able to move my feet around on them, and they feel so much more secure than pegs do. As for comments about the large number of plastic trim items on this bike, here's my take... Yes, there are many. They are all high quality in fit and look. Kawasaki really outdid themselves with the triple clamps, headlamp, forks, risers, etc. Looking forward over the bars, I get the feeling of luxury and quality, that makes all bike makers envious of Kawasaki in that regard. Recommendations? Come on in, the water's fine!

| Bought a new silver 900 Classic in July, after a 20-year hiatus from riding. Retook MSF course; got license. Great buy! Looked at Suzuki M50, but preferred K's more complete styling, better rear brake, belt drive. For my size, 5'-8", 165 lbs this bike is just right.

| I rode a new out of the box 900 in July. I was suprised how big it felt. the power was super too, tho I babied it because it had like 9 miles on it. when i reached for the footbrake, i was suprised to find it further forward than my 1500. I found myself reaching for it. Its a midsize mill on a full size frame and it carries it off perfectly.

| I definitely wouldn't mind trying one of the new 900 Custom's out looks similar to the old VN800A's but with mag wheels and drag bars. I always thought a VN800 was a far superior bike to any C50, so I don't really see how a VN900 could be worse, I've only rode one in a parking lot though. Definitely a good looking bike:

| Ridden both - can't see why either bike is a bad buy!. I reckon they are very comparable - and both very good bikes. In Australia, there is a 3k difference in the price. But don't buy a bike that someone else likes - buy a bike that YOU like. |

| I have a 900 Custom and love it!!! It rides and feels like a bigger displacement bike. Accessories are starting to appear more and more, here are some pictures of my bike with some bling and mores on the way!

| TurtleWax Taster ![]() | Hey sapper congrats on the bike. I sat on one yesterday at the dealership and it felt pretty good. My wife will ride with me so I would want a better pillion which the dealer said that the seat off of the classic will fit. If you dont mind what did you pay? My dealer says 7300 otd which doesnt sound real bad but I think I will wait to find a used one. They will be available before long.

| I owned a ltd 454 10 years ago then got out of biking. I walked into a bike shop and seen the new 900 custom and went home with it. I have had it for 2 months now and love it. Fuel injected, belt driven and very smooth. I was worried about it only being a 900 and not having enough power for me and my wife riding together. If it is fuel injected have no worries because that makes a differance!! I tweeked it a little with a efi tuner and put some pipes on it and it runs better now. My advise to anyone is buy a 900 but that is me.... so go test ride one!!! |

| I bought my 900 Custom last month and love it. I have put 700 miles on it and cant wait to put more. After owning a couple Harleys I am very happy to have a bike I can ride rather than work on. I was very surprised by the performance of this bike. I really thought I would feel more differance from the HD 1200 motors. The only things I feel I must do is change the sound, way to quiet and the wife really wants a backrest for it. That leads to my only complaint, there are really no accesories out there for the custom yet, anyone know if the 900 classic stuff will fit?
