| Can anyone tell me why there is such a large price difference between the Vulcan 1500 & 1600 ? Up here in Canada its about $3000 or more difference. I was just curious as to why. They both look good to me.

| A lot more than a few cc's between them, the 1500 is an old engine ( very good though ) and an old bike that have been virtually unchanged for many years. The 1600 is basically a 100% brand new model with bells and whistles not found in the 1500.

| The price difference in the US is $1000. The 1500 is a solid ride they have kept in production to meet a value price point in their line up.

| But that's in canadian money, let's see $9,000 can equals about $1.25 us or maybe two snickers bars.

| either way, a 1500 or 1600 will deliver all day riding pleasure and keep asking for more. I like the twin front discs on the 1600 but I like the spoke wheels of the 1500 better. I've ridden both a 1500 (mine) and guest ridden a couple of 1600's. The 1600 is a bigger bike for sure, maybe better said, its layed out larger? The only drawback so far to the 1600 is the lack of aftermarket bling. that can only get better as the bike grows older in the lineup. |
