Default Voided Warrante???

1.) Will the Deep Clayton Mod void my warrante?
2.) Do you have to let the shop performe the scheduled services on your bike, or can they be done at home and still maintain the warrante?

I have downloaded a service manuel, and I believe that I can performe all the required services. I have just put the first 600 miles on my bike so it will be the first break-in service. Should I let the shop do this service? I just dont want it to cost me more down the road, if you know what I mean. Any and All input would greatly be appreciated.....

My thoughts:

I do my own repairs and maintenance whenever possible. I do my own valves, I synch my own carbs . . . I even mount and balance my own tires.

For a brand new bike, I pay the shop to do the first maintenance. It just makes me feel a little bit better. I mean, you paid top dollar for a nice new bike, why not shell out a few more bucks to get it checked over at it's first scheduled maintenance?

First off, if you can actaully find a compentant dealer, then by all means have them do the first service. If not, I would recommend doing it your self and if need be with the help of a friend.

As to drilling holes in the baffle, you may not have any problem with the warranty. But warranty can be voided if they can prove what you did damaged what ever went wrong.
