Default loud rattle

I know this was mentioned a couple of months ago that people were hearing it, but I never saw if someone figured out what the noise was. I can hear a rattle noise coming from the front end of my C50 Black when I am riding it. It is really noticeable over 55 mph. It is loud enough that I can hear it over the bike and wind noise at 85 mph. I cant find anything loose. The bike has 2,600 miles on it.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it might be??????

Are you sure it's coming from the front end and not the motor? At 70 mph, my Marauder sounds like it's fallin apart.

I found a loose part on my bike a few weeks ago. You know the plastic covers on the front sides of the frame. On the right side there is a cover over the ignigion and on the left side there is a cover over the wiring. My cover on the left side flaps arround like crazy. I took it off and put it back on becasue I thought it was installed wrong, but it just dosent fit very well. Next time you have it up to that speed and you hear the noise. Lean over the front of the bike a little like riding a crotch rocket and see if you see that flapping in the wind. I'm trying to figure out a way to secute mine better. Might have to find some good doubble sided sticky tape.

CJ, what did you find? My bike has 5,500 miles and just started a rattle this morning that's appears to be just like yours. More prevalent at higher rpms, and really noticable above 55 mph.

I felt like an IDIOT last week after hearing a rattling in the front end at 800 miles on a new C50C. Turned out it was my STUPID horse hair key ring fob my ignition key was on! LOL

Same thing on my M50. I secured it to the frame at the bottom with a black cable tie around the cover and frame.

The clip that holds both sides together rattled off.

There's supposed to be a clip?

I went over the front end of my bike and tightened everything. Found a few loose nuts on the windshield and speedo cover. Also one of the bolts holding my Cobra engine guards was slightly loose. Should have done this when I last changed oil. Anyway, none of these was the problem -- it was the ring and visor on the right light of my lightbar. With my bike on the stand I slowly increased the throttle until the rattle appeared and was able to narrow it down. Tightening the ring seemed to stop the problem.

One thing for sure, like everyone else said, the frame cover on the left side is extremely loose and I can't find any way to tighten it, but I don't hear anything from it when I ride either. The cover at the ignition switch is not as loose but not tight either. Suzuki needs to find a better way to fasten these parts.
