Cracked Front Fender - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

I have the C50 Black. I was washing my bike last weekend when I noticed a crack in the front plastic fender. The crack is on the brake caliper side and at the right rear bolt that holds the fender on. The crack extends from the bolt hole to the edge of the fender, about one inch long. I also noticed a secondary crack beginning to appear, propagating from the bolt hole a little lower. I've never did anything to cause the crack, no other marks on the fender, I haven't even put a wrench on the bolts. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I bought my bike in June and have around !,000 miles on it. I intend to take it in to the dealer and have it replaced under warranty. I hope they don't give me a bad time about it.

That stinks. They should replace that without any problems. I checked mine and it looks fine. Must have been cracked during assembly.

I have heard about several people with the same problem. They got new fenders under warranty. Yum, plastic.

Bolt over tightened while putting bike together.
See dealer ASAP.

Took my bike to the dealer last Friday Aug 19, and they looked at the crack. Took photos and called Suzuki. Suzuki approved the fender repalcement under warranty. The dealer ordered the fender, just waiting delivery, then I will make appointment to have it replaced. Yahoo! ! ! ! ! ! !
