Default C50 Windshield

I recently went through quite a hassl trying to find a windshield that would fit with little or no mods. After returning a Plexifairing 3 a Dakota 4.5 a Vera Cruz(assured to fit by Chapperal Motorsports) I installed a Slip Streamer-08. I had to make my own lower brackets as so supplied were to short and flimsy. I also do not like the fact that the lower brackets bolt to the headlight using the headlight screws. I didn't go with factory as I like a different style. I am going across country and any hints or tips would be appreciated. Thanks
Ken

Default OEM Windshield

I have the OEM windshield - had the dealer install as part of the bike purchase. Looks great, works great.

OEMs are good choices because they are designed to fit and complement your bike. However, if you're looking for aftermarket, direct your browser to http://www.cruisercustomizing.com and search for windshields (and other items) according to the model of your bike. You can also read the reviews to determine if that windshield would be worth your hard earned bucks.

Good luck, and welcome Snork and Philly!

I got the OEM also, I really like it but I wish they made a quick release version.

I went with Memphis Shades and have no issues. The Poptop is identiccal to the OEM offered for my bike. $59 +$100 for a quick release. beats the crap out of $389. w/o quick release for the OEM.

I got my Pop Top from a local parts store; $52 for the shield and $98 for the quick release fork mounts. Like drgibson, I wasn't going to pay premium prices for the Suzuki OEM's that do not have a quick release mechanism.

Great site (the link you posted)..... Also, this place seems cool too, great prices: http://www.phatperformanceparts.com..... ended up ordering from them, prices were a little better on the parts I was looking for.
