I have about 450 miles on my C50. Thinking of taking a 500 mile round trip starting Friday. If I change oil, filter, and drive lube oil myself before leaving will this effect factory warranty? Simple process but I know" all "seem to be looking for a way to blame customer for what ever goes wrong with there product.

I know that auto manufacturers will have a grace period with their first services, maybe Suzuki will let you do the service early?

I think you'll be fine changing the oils, I didnt get mine in for service till after 1000 miles. Just take it easy. Dont try to pop any wheelies.

No need to change the oil yet. I had 1500 miles on my C50 when it went in for it's 600 mile service they said it wasn't a problem.

I changed the oil and filter and made the trip. 228 miles each way. No problem except butt was tired after about 90 miles without stopping. Stopped for a few twice each way and did just fine. I feel gel or mustang seat and different grips are needed for more comfort.

Just keep a record of any maintenance you do, warranty still good.
Seats are a personal taste, some of us are better padded than others.
Suzuki gel seat seems to rate. Stop and eat a good breakfst and the problem may solve it's self.
Course you may end up like me with a leather jacket that shrunk.
