Let us know what you think of them. I installed a tail light flasher a while back and people seem to be a more alert when I touch the brake. I also installed one bright white bulb and one bright blue bulb in my Gixxer headlamp. The odd combination seems to be more noticable during the day.

85% of accidents are front end collisions. If you want to spend money on modulators. I would only get the front light flasher. The good things is that when people see you coming, they think you are an emergency vehicle and may pull over....

Wow, the modulator really works great!

I swear people must think I'm a cop!

Today people who were way ahead of me, people who if I were them I would've pulled out, people who were not any threat to me at all they were so far away were waiting for me to pass before pulling out!

Thanks for the post, I'm thinking about getting the taillamp one myself. I'm hoping the lightbar on mine helps fend off poeple from the front, so I'm going to give that a chance. The price was a bit more than I thought, but if it works, it not as high a price as the alternative, I ride to work a lot, and come home from the 10:15 to 11:00 time frame, and I think that would help to stand out from cars in front of me at the lights!

I just installed the Tail Blazer myself. Got it from the same people, but won it on EBay, so saved a few bucks. I think the flashing taillight does wake people up.

Next is the headlight modulator....

I'm not sure that anything short of a rocket launcher would get the attention of some distracted drivers.

That is so true. We need to invent a device such that when a motorcycle is within, say 25-50 feet, a voice cuts in to their cell phone conversation and says "Hey Jack***, look out for that motorcycle." LMAO

But seriously, I am surprised I don't see more headlight modulators. The few I do see are definitely more visible. The modulating really catches your attention...

Modulators. What good are they when you're invisible to start with?

Concerning the headlight modulators....would these cross any legalities with any state laws? I realize you're not flashing emergency colors, but could the cops still pull you over for it and charge you with something bogus?

You can check on AMA's website, they have summaries of all the Motorcycle laws by state.

The instruction manual for the modulator included an extract from the federal statute making headlight modulators legal. So at least on the federal level they are legal.

I didn't check AMA's site for all states, but the state's I'm most likely to ride in (all of New England and NY) don't prohibit modulators.

Since they are legal on the federal level, they are legal in any state where they are not specifically prohibited.
