Default Hard Saddle Bags for C50

Just curious out there, is there anyone out there using hard saddlebags with their bikes. Don't get me wrong, I like the leather ones but, they are a dime in a dozen. I want my bike to look different yet still look good. I have found this website that sells the hard saddle bags that would look pretty good on the C50, www.nationalcycle.com. Does anyone else out there have hard saddlebags, if so do you like them and what kind are they? Looking forward to hearing from you all...

Before saying no to the "dime a dozen" have you looked at all of the offerings. I put a set of Willie and Max bags on my C50 and they look anything but common. And for the quality and look, the price is great.

Ditto here on the W&M Saddlebags I got the real dark black one's with the silver and gold eagle emblem on them, and they look really nice. Got the tool bag also for the front fork. The only complaint I have with that is it's to big but I managed to fit it on.

I have a set of Leatherlyke Cruiser saddlebags on my Savage, pictures in my BLOG ENTRY. They can slip on or off in a matter of a few seconds, rated to carry 20 pounds each. Lockable storage that is guaranteed to never sag like soft bags.

I was searching on the net and found these hard saddlebags for about $300. I spoke with the guys yesterday and he stated he started making these for the Volusia specifically since his sons had that kind of bike. You can find them at www.hardbags.com there are pics on line but aren't the greatest. This guy also sells them on ebay for the same price. Based off the ebay pics I think these bags look nice..

Happy and Safe riding...

on volusiariders.com Legalgoddess has the bags you mentioned in your beginning post; just don't paint them the color she has and you should be fine.

National Cycle bags are very nice. I have a set of Tsukayu "Strong" fiberglass bags on my C50.

http://www.tsukayu.com/
My bike is featured on their site:
http://www.tsukayu.com/strong%20Suzuki%20Volusia.htm

They are in Hong Kong, but the shipping is pretty quick, about 8 days for me. The bags are very good, but I may try to find better locks. These bags are quite large and lined with carpet. The "Patrol Bags" look very nice too.

The big advantage of most hardbags is that they are weatherproof.
