Default How do I remove that @#^$# sticker??

That's one ugly stubborn stickher they put on the center of my new C50's beautifully painted gas tank, i'm sure the first thing anyone does is remove it. Does anyone have advice on what chemical to use to get rid of the adhesive without damaging the finish?

start here...

and then use the search function (type in sticker) and see what else you can find

Try some 'Goo Gone' and then WD-40 and elbow grease.

The usual heat it up with a hair dryer didn't do much good on mine. I did a lot of finger nail scraping befor I got it of. Than some good polish-scratch cover and it was as good as new. Yep it is a real #@%%#@++&&$

I got mine of pretty easily with the trusty thumb-nail and lighter fluid on a terry cotton cloth, then finished up with a good wax.

I used some citrus adhesive remover and a lot of thunmbnail scratching. But I accidentally got a little of the adhisive remover on my seat. And it had some kind of reacation with the seat cover material, cause now I have a permanent sticky spot on my seat that wont come off. Good thing its smal and not that noticable.
