In a previous post I wrote about a trip I'm taking this summer from Alaska to Alabama. Some of the reading I've found says that I should not plan more that 350 400 mile a day. Maybe more on the first day or two. The writer wrote that to get 600 miles would take 13 hours because you most likely will not average more than 45 miles per hour. (I didn't check his math.) The only reason I can think this would be true is if you have to stop a lot. If anybody has any experience here it would help me plan.
