I had the same problem with the factory windshield, so I got some angle iron, plexigalss, acorn nuts and pan head bolts. Cut out the shape I wanted for the plexiglass drilled the angle after trimming to fit on my windshield bracket drilled a couple of holes mounted everything to the existing bracket and no more problems.
I have cut the original design down once already and will probably cut it down some more, but it's eaiser to take away than add to so I started big.
That's why I like making what I can, so I can play around with it.
The only thing I wish I would've done was take pics and document because it was a lot cheaper than purchasing aftermarket lowers and brackets.
My next task is re-shaping my stock seat, I will take pics and document so when I come up with something more comfortable than the stock seat without spending three hundred plus on an aftermarket seat I can share the tips.
I want to do some powder coating and fab some pipes like AMISHCRACKDEALER did but getting the comfort comes first, then the cosmetics.
