Changed the oil again and it's such a pain in the arse to hold the bike up, balance it with one hand, bend over to look at the stooopid site glass to see if it's filled properly...... I was wondering, I know I have the proper amount of oil in the engine now, would it be possible to get a oil dipsitck and mark it with a groove with the bike upright. THe dipstick wouldn't have to go all the way down. Just enough to get wet from the proper fill level. I think the site glass is the stupidest idea on the bike(s) that now have it. How could a mfgr save money by punching a hole in the engine case, then seal it with glass, rather than use a dip stick??? Anyone have any ideas other than buying a bike stand to check the oil? thanks dan |
