My brother lives in Miami and rush hour is 80 miles per hour bumper to bumper. I don't condone it I just accept that there are that many crazy people out there in the world.
I don't drive my Suzuki C50 for speed. I cruise with my bike and 65 MPH on US 1 is fast enough for me.
However, to try to answer Oaks question. I weight 280 Lbs. I have tested my bike at 80 and as far as going from 70 to 90 I had no problem. However, I was not passing anyone and I did not do it for very long. I keep up with a couple of cars until I got tire of eating their dirt (wearing an open face) and I back off. (US1 Where I live is not very busy)
The only thing that you may need to do is to raise your handlebar a little. Good luck with your decision.

The C50T will have problems at this speed. The bike is great however, the C50 has issues at this speed for any size person...yes it will pass but it's not as fast as many would like at this speed. As for speeds below this you will be very happy.

Well, you should take your bike for an inspection if it's having an issues past 70 mph. I travel 20 miles every morning and every evening on a California freeway. It's called I-80 but most of the drivers on this road believe it's a speed limit, forcing me to ride 80 to 90 mph. I have no issues at this speed except for some thoughts of what would happen to me if I fall going that fast... Recently I installed Cobra FI2000R and K&N filter and first time out with a new setup I did 100 thinking I was doing 85.

P.S. Remember that the speed is as indicated by our speedometers that are 5 to 10% off

P.P.S. I am 240 lb and my wife is 125 and my C50 hauls both of just fine on a freeway at about 80 mph.

Do you get a slight vibration on your mirrors that you can't clearly see the vehicles behind at those speeds?

I had to go 60-70 mph the other day, the rear view got fuzzy due to vibration and wonder if it is normal. Thanks for your feedback.

I have stock mirrors and they do not get fuzzy nor I get a lot of vibration. I can clearly see through them at any speed.
My thought to what might be causing that is a bad speed balanced front wheel. You might need to check that first. Good luck!

just to help out a little and not mention the speed issue...

The c50 will do almost whatever you speed you want. Im at 270 and with me and my wife - we can travel interstate speeds without a problem.

People wake the hell up..earlier this month I rode my bike to Sturgis. The speed limit across South Dakota on I-90 is 75, most every one was going that or more. It all depends on rider experience and conditions. We had a helluva cross wind and so most slowed down on the return trip. Enjoy riding, the bike will carry your big arse.

wrong bike for going over 75 all the time IMO.starts to vibrate alot from the engine above 70-75.feels like its not too happy at those rpms for long periods of time.will do it though

My bike is an 07 and has almost 6,000 miles on it and it purrs right along at 75-80
