|  C50- Gas Mileage Suddenly Dropped
Hi All, I keep an eye on my gas mileage pretty religiously. I have a drop in my gas mileage and wonder if this is a cause for concern. I bought the bike used in 2006 with 1300 miles on it. All of the services are up to date. I usually get 48 mpg. Threee tanks ago, this rose to 50 mpg. Then it suddlenly dropped, to 39mpg and 40mpg when I filled it yesterday. The bike has 4800 miles on it now, no troubles whatsoever. The oil and filter were just changed Saturday. The only difference I can think of is that the ambient temperature yesterday was nippy (for Florida) 46 degrees. Most of my riding is interstate at 70-80 mph (indicated.) I don't smell fuel or see any leaks. The bike seems to be running perfectly. Any ideas? |
