I disconnected my PAIR Valve today. I chose not to insert a "Golf Tee" because it looked like the air hose would rub against the throtle control of the throtle body. I purchased a small dowl rod and cut a piece to attach the two air hoses together and tiestraped the attached hose's to the frame under the tank, and tiestrapped the solenoid behind the left side neck cover. Anyway, when I started the bike, it doesn't idle as it did before the removal. I rechecked all the connections and all is tight, I even checked all the exhaust bolts, including the header bolts at the engine. The bike runs great, no more backfire from debaffleing it, it actually seems to run a bit better, but that could be my imagination. Has anyone else experineced an idle difference after their PAIR removal? Do I need to adjust?, or leave well enough alone? |
