Unhappy Air Filter Housing Broken

Went for a nice long ride today. After I parked the bike in the garage, I did a walk around and noticed the air filter housing was crooked. Upon futher inspection I noticed that the two tabs at the top of the housing were broken.
The housing did slide around a bit when I frist bought it and I tried to tighten the bolts up, but they were tight and I figured that was the way it is supposed to be and let it go at that, the bike ran fine, so I figured if it aint broke don't fix it or I'll end up breaking it. (Murphys Law).

1st Question: Is the Air filter housing suposed to slide up and down & sideways about a 1/8 inch or is it suposed to be tight?

2nd Question: Has anybody put an aftermarket Air filter on, and willing to sell their old housing?

All I need is the is the back of the assembly, but the dealer only sells it as part of a whole assembly for around $156.00 and shipping. So I figured I'd ask if anyone wants to get rid of their used whole assembly first.

Thanks
