Default hiway pegs on factory crash bar

Ive got the factory zuki crash/case gaurds, Does anyone have highway pegs on them that stick out far enuff to use?

I spent 6 hours in the stock seat and floor boards and was completely comfortable (not bad for a 5'10" 250lb old guy) but the knees started achin and wished I could stretch them out.

That picture for that link doesn't show them mounted to the crash bar, in fact, it shows them clamped to the frame by where the radiator would be on our bikes, wonder if that works...
