| I would get a second set of pipes to mess with, I learned that tha hard way with my Vulcan, that I traded for the 07' C50T. I am going to do that with this one, there are usually sets on sale on Ebay, there is one there now from an 05... I am waiting to see where it tops out at.

| This link still works-for me at least: De-baffle this! Also if interested I have a set of de-baffled M50 pipes to sell.

| ok so i started the debaffling on my C50..... I was not able to find a way to use 2 hole saws at once so i decided to do them one at a time. I was able to cut the first hole on each muffler with the 1 1/2 inch hole saw with no problems at all. Cut them both in under five minutes total! Then i changed to the 3 inch saw and started to cut and... uh-oh.... this damn thing wants to go all over the place. I cant seem to be able to hold it center. Am I missing something?? what am i doing wrong?? I am guessing that is why it should be done with both saws at once so the saw on the inside can keep it somewhat centered?... or is this where this arbor thing comes into play?? Can someone who has debaffled please give me some advice.... I would really appreciate it Oh i almost forgot... I turned my bike on after cutting the first holes on each muffler and i can already hear a big difference. I like what I hear so far!!! |

| If you have a vairable speed drill, on slow speed with light pressure let the hole saw dig some grooves in a little. Honestly my best advise would have been not to do it. I did mine and now i'm back to stock. I didnt like the tone, it sounded hollow to me. I know a lot of people do it and like it and a few do it and dont. I guess i'm a dont.

this is why I bought an extra set of OEM pipes to keep the "stealership" happy. but now that I've bought some aftermarket pipes I have my de-baffled ones laying around collecting dust-if anyone wants to buy 'em let me know.

| Well its done .....finally! Best $24 I ever spent! Heres a pic of my baffles. I ended up just bolting the 2 saws together. I read that someone else did this in this forum and it worked perfectly. |

| sweet!!! im glad you got it done. i took out the baffle and all of the plates in front with a 2 3/4 in hole saw and a 18'' extention now i am running straight pipes, its great!! there is some debate on this forum anout running lean. mine is just fine the steeler and a ton of folkes on vlousia riders told me i could do what ever i wanted to the pipes as long as i dont change the air box in any way untill i get a pcIII or an equlivant, i checket the plugs after 300 miles and every one was right. plugs lood good.

| Plain and simple, if you have a fuel injected C50, you won't have any problems. And yes, it's a great idea to have some stock pipes laying around to keep the dealership happy. That is if you ever actually did have a problem with the bike. (Remember though, that's why we didn't buy a Harley!
