| Not if your happy with the C50T. I understand that you will not get that much more for your money going from a C50T to a C90T. The extra weight of the C90T negates some of the extra power. I wouldn't recommend you pull the trigger unless the C50T is not doing the job for you and you KNOW that the C90T will. If you aren't happy with the C50T, post your reasons and some folks more knowledgeable than I will surely come around here and clarify whether or not the C90T will solve your issues.

| My dealer's gto a pretty good deal on a left over C90T, but I'm resisting it because the cruising range on a tank of gas for the C90 is about half of my C50. Not only, I like the way cool ed paint on my C50le

| The C90 is an air-cooled engine, that has a better than average oil cooler installed on it. That alone would be a big no for me. The C90 is shaft driven, so that's equal to your C50. The C90 is fuel injected, so that's roughly equal. The C90 won't go as far on a tank, as mentioned. The C90 looks a bit more studly, and has more weight. Advantage on the road. The C90 will roll on a bit stronger. Advantage anywhere. They both have spokes and tubes. Generally not a problem. At the trade price they're quoting, you're going into the C90 pretty deep. I think you'll find them discounted much further, later on in the year.

| It's your money, but when you look at the two bikes side by side, there really isn't that much difference between the two. If you get the same color, most people won't even know you got a different bike. IMHO the C50 is a better bang for the buck.

| Bigger is not always better. At 2,700 miles, I don't think you have really had an opportunity to sample all the C50 has to offer. I have 17,000 miles and have yet to find my C50 lacking. I was out Thursday and had no trouble keeping up with a fellow rider on a Harley. The only limits we both had was those white 4 wheelers with the Red and Blue flashers on their roofs. It was one of those days, where the Sun was out, the wind was light and your in the zone. It is why we ride, not because there are Big cc's. Use that $3,000 for gas. A lot of miles, a lot of Sun and sometimes there are just no words needed. |

| .... I dunno if that sound so good to me. I see lo miles 2005 C50s asking and maybe getting? around 5$K. Add 3$k and you are giving him 8$k for a 2 model year old bike.... hmmm hmmm I might negotiate pretty hard to bring that 3$k down

I have a 1999 LC which is petty much the same bike, friend have 2002 VL800. He's 800 is very quick and I like to ride it. Being only 5'6" and 160 lbs I find riding my 1500 around town a bit tasking. But a person of your size I don't see any problems. After 20 years of not riding when I bought my first used bike last year I keeped looking for the kick start. So a water cooled engine still brothered me. So much I sold it for the air cooled 1500 which gets hot during the sumer months. But on the highway I enjoy it better that 800. It's nice to do 60mph taching 2200 RPM. Seems to me to hugh the road better at higher speeds. And a better low end torque to get out of the hole, doesn't buzz as much. I installed a 2 into 1 cobra pipes and it sound just right a very low rumble. Now with my wife on the back it make it harder to do town riding. So I bought a Kawasaki Concour and I love that for quick trips with that extra 150 lbs (that's what she says) on the back seat. The c50 and c90 are not the same bike. I don't mind the small gas tank because after an hour I ready to smoke or get off the bike. I'm in no hurry to get some place. Me and that that 150 lb women like the leasure of riding. And could never go 250 miles before stoping. "The C90 is an air-cooled engine, that has a better than average oil cooler installed on it. That alone would be a big no for me." What did people do before water cooled engines. And I don't see a water cool kit for 99% of the HD's out there. I would rather cross the desert with an air cooled engine that a water cooled engine any day, One less thing to worry about. On my concour I keep looking at the temp gauge. Ha one more thing the best place on the web to read about the C90 check it out and see what some of these guys have done. alot more that any C50 that I've seen. http://forums.delphiforums.com/RLCMC/start Check the like below.

| Well it all depends on how BAD you want that c90T. I have seen new 05 C90 (not T) sold for 7500 and 05 c50 sold for 5500 OTD. Ur bike is probably worth 4500-800 + 3k= 7500/800 for a C90T. To me this is a good deal. See if you can talk the deal into lowering it a bit, though. best of luck s |
