|  What do I have here?
Hi All. This is my first post (not counting my "intro"), so please excuse my ignorance. The wife and I just bought an '02 VL800K2. While searching for accessories we've become very confused about just what this bike is called. I know it's a VL800 from the tag on the frame. The tank badge says "Intruder" while the third party vendors seem to call it an "Intruder-Volusia" or mostly, just "Volusia". Could someone tell me which it is? And what is the significance of the "K2" in the model number? Also, am I correct in assuming this bike has evolved into the current C50? We ordered an OEM windshield thru the dealership (hasn't arrived yet) and the part number is the same as for the 2006 C50. The bike is stock with the only add-on being highway bars, which leaves plenty of room to personalize it. Hope not to wear out my welcome with all the questions I still have - once I know for certain what I have. |
