Default Last Long Ride of The Year

Well, the wife and I just returned from a 1350 mile tour around the U.S. side of Lake Huron and the C50C ran flawlessly. We left Whitby, Ontario on Sept. 24 and made Frankenmuth Mich. the first day. Departed from there and headed to Port Austin,Bay City, then on to Alpena where we spent the nite. From here we continued along the shorline to Makinaw, across the bridge to Hiawatha National Forest. At Trout Lake we stoped and had the greatest feed of grilled whitefish we have ever had. From here we continued on the 123 to the East-West Road and enjoyed the splendid fall color extravaganza and then on to crossing back into Canada at the Soo. After spending the nite here it was on to a rain drenched 260 mile ride to North Bay where we finally decided to call it quits and dry out my waterproof boots. From here it was the last leg through the Muskokas pingponging back and forth between Highway 11 and Highway 69. The colours were fabulous and the ride was great. 5 great days with only one bad one you gotta believe the weather gods are with you.

Still haven't done a road trip on my C50 but now I read a story like this and I have no choice but do one and soon!

Cool trip! Did you get some of that fried chicken at Frankenmuth?
