Thanks for the reply. I read earlier today on your website that you ship only on certain days and was about to post a "nevermind" post but I appreciate the response.

My back rest from Lonnie arrived today. I will install it this evening. Can't wait. At 60, age that is not speed, I know I am starting to slouch more than I should on long rides. It really is easier when I have my pack (T-bags Super T) behind me to lean against. Now on those long day trips, I won't need to use the pack. Clint

I mailed my check on 4/26. It arrived priority mail on 5/8. I was on a trip and just got back last evening. Figure about 2 weeks (12 days including weekends) if you mail the check. Looks like he mails on Saturdays and Mondays. My backrest was mailed on 5/6, arrived 5/8. Delay was the time it took my check to get to him. Clint

When you think about it, this will probably go a long ways towards more riding comfort in the long haul, it keeps your back in a more straight configuration so your torso can do a better job of absorbing bumps that would normally lead to back fatigue, it's amazing that it took these words "I don't slouch as much" to convince me I need one of these, "Thank you v0lusia"

I see you have a C50T, he makes a model that is shaped like the T sissybar pad, make sure you order that one, it will match better.

I installed Lonnie's backrest on my C50 last evening. Install was simple except that threads on one of the bolts under the seat was cross threaded by the dealer. Chased the threads and everything went well but it took 10 minutes and not the normal 5. I also installed a VistaCruise Universal 1". I have some long road trips planned and wanted to try a throttle lock and for $ 25.00 from the dealer how could I go wrong.

I then went for a short ride to test both. I already can see that Lonnie's backrest will make a huge difference, in fact I'll just leave it on all the time. The Vista Cruise worked great as well. Flip down the lever and the throttle stays put, you can rest your right hand for a minute. You can adjust the throttle with the lock on or hit the toggle and it frees the grip totally. I was feeling pretty good, but things got better.

About a mile from the house I saw a "Free" sign on a motorcycle trailer. I stopped, realized that this was not going to last more than a few minutes and raced home to grab the truck and tow that sucker home. That I was able to accomplish, so now I have a nice trailer, needs a new deck and tires, but otherwise it is in great shape. An all around great evening. Clint

Lonnie, Wish I was one of those with happy story, I sent my bike year, model and even the dimensions you requested. Bottom line - you apparently don't make or wish to make the backrests for Marauder 800s. Can live with that. Just be advised that people appreciate responses even if the news is bad. Those emails were sent to your business email address and the first one was acknowledged. Time for me to toss in the towel, don't like to beg.

Default Back Rest

I just ordered the C50T - C90T style for my C50T.
During the process I kept looking for a section that said special instructions or something to let them know I do not want the studs ..... But Nothing...

There is no confirmation of what I ordered - spooky
Also there is no shipping info to Canada - spooky

So I fired of an email
Hope to get a reply as I used my Credit Card.

My wife is going to kill me..

Default Thanks Lonnie

Thanks Lonnie

And Lonnie
I got an idea for you for a new product

How about a Wider SOFTER Passenger seat ??????????
I think they would go over as good as the back rests have.

Problem with the stock passenger seat - (feed back from my wife)
Its to narrow and WAY TO HARD, and you slide forward on it.

What do you think ??

It would need to be 3 inches wider
Softer
and have an upslope - so you can lean back against the back rest and not slide forward.

You make a reasonably priced driver back rest - this would be a good next product step for you..........

Second that. I'm not in the habit of offeing testimonials but this backrest is very, very comfortable. Also a good buy at $85.00 delivered.
Now, if only I could do something about the damn oem seat!
