| Hello again everybody !! Just wanted to say that I hope everybody had a nice winter season and will have a safe riding season !! A big thank you to all that helped me out last season with a few questions I had. Hope I can lend a hand to someone this year. First question of this season - Gonna be doing my own oil change soon. I am going full synthetic oil. What should I expect for a lifespan with syntehtic oil on board (5k, 6k, )Thank you in advance for your reply!!!

| I change mine at the manual's intervals, using full synthetic and a filter every time. That's me...

| Ok guys, I'm having a bit of trouble. I went looking for Synthetic 10w-40 Oil and decided to ask a couple of ??? before I buy. Do all manufacturers make Synthetic 10w-40? I only found one option at the local Wally World, and it was a Synthetic Blend. Before I go out to the local automotive stores (Pep Boys, Autozone, Advanced Auto, Napa), I wanted your opinion. My questions are - 1) None of the oil (regular or different weight synthetic) ever listed to be rated SF or SG as required by the manual. I saw SA, SL, and other S? combinations but not what I needed. What gives with that? 2) Does this Synthetic oil have to be motorcycle specific? I know there has been some debate with this issue as I read a little on this site last year. But I want pros and cons from those who are doing there own changes and I can't find that debate anymore. I'd like to get this oil changed this week ... weather will be crap anyway Anyway, thanks for your replies ... happy riding
