|  Canadian vs US prices
I have been looking at light bars and getting a little choked. The suggested US retail OEM light bar is $248.99, have seen as low as $184.95. Yesterday I was looking on the display wall of a dealer here $364.95 Canadian. The last time I brought a part in declared value $40 US plus $16 US shipping, I got nailed $29 candian broker fee plus taxes. (taxes do not bother me.) The higher the value the higher the broker fee. I was told $29 is min. and applies to anything over $20. The problem here is you do not know what you are going to pay, it depends how and by whom it is carried. Other that having a US address where to PU items yourself, how do others deal with the problem. I have the info for the world's cheapest lightbar on file. |
