Default Trouble installing the mounting bracket for HK 2.5" Stripper Straights on C50

Hmmm. Well, I finally got the Hard Krome 2.5" Stripper Straights. I removed the stock pipes just fine. I installed the new crush gaskets, fine. Then, following Step 1 of the HK directions ("install mounting plate to stock mounting bracket")... huh???

Does anyone have any experience with this? It is a fairly large polished black annodized bracket that is rectangular on one end, then bends in or out, depending on how it's supposed to mount, and then is triangular on the other. For the life of me, I can not figure out how this bracket is supposed to mount to the stock mounting location???

I lined-up the holes on what I determined to be the only viable option, but the holes on the HK bracket are drilled about 1/2" wider than the holes in the stock (welded-on) mounting bracket on the bikes' frame.

This is killing me since it's Sunday and HK isn't in. I hate having to wait 'til tomorrow a.m. to call their tech dept. Argggggh!!

Thanks,
Daryl
