Volusia/C50 Getaway Think of this as a weekend getaway from that other place.

Default Sad Day

Had to put the bikes away. Pretty good season, though. I picked my C50le up on July 27th, put 4599 miles on between then and now. My wife didn't get out quite as much, but still got 3000 on her Savage & learner's permit. She came back the other day from a 6-week training deployment with Air Force Guard, so this morning we took one last little jam. She loves the new riding suit (follow this thread), it was only about 45, with a slight breeze and no sun, and we were comfortable.

I won't get to pull the batteries until the weekend after turkey day,as we're going out of town. Yank the batteries, cover the ends of the exhaust pipes, wait for the snow to melt. I figure another week or ten days with 30 degree temps won't hurt the batteries any. I did want to get them in the shed before snow fell again. It's a little narrow and kind of a side hill. Would have been embarrassing to ride safe al season them put it down while parking it for the winter.

Winter plans: Phat Risers, some sort of leather trim for the tank, mostly to protect the paint at the tail end. I actually kinda like the Suzuki OEM part. A license plate holder for the Savage, maybe bags that fit it better.
