Default Miles per tank....

Ok, so Saturday was my first "ride" with a group here in Southern Texas. My first adventures outside my normal solo riding on familiar streets to me. I'm new to Houston, just been riding the local streets near my house. Bottom line, I think I need to start looking for a gas station at around 120 miles on the trip odometer. Here are my findings. We traveled back roads and highway. Back roads averaged 55 mph, highways about 70 mph. Total distance was right at 180 miles, I'd say about 3/4 backroads, 1/4 highway. 45 miles of backroads, we stopped, I put in 1.11 gallons. Rode some highway, then back to back roads. About 130 miles later, clunk-sputter-clunk, switched to reserve. 5 miles later, stopped and filled up, 3.53 gallons. So, like I said, I learned that I should probably guess that every 120 miles I need to stop and fill up (if I do not want to use reserve). Just airing out my numbers to you all. Thanks for listening. This sound about right?
