| good luck on your purchase, I haven't heard from a lot of the royal star guys. Try using the search function. Man what a change though, custom v-twin cruiser to a V-4 tourer. What made you what to become royalty?

| I have the v star 1300, and have been wondering about the royal star my self. Yamaha would not be giving a 5 yr warranty if it was a problem bike. I found some Gold Wing folks who had changed to the royal and are extremely happy.

| I purchased an 07 Royal Star Deluxe about 3 months ago and I love it. It is smooth and quiet. I don't need the noise. I had louder pipes on my vstar 1100 and on long trips I would always have headaches from the constant rumble. They sound good but I am begining to enjoy comfort. I upgraded to a mustang seat with a driver back rest. I still use an airhawk pad with the new seat. I can take all day trips with no munky butt. I do enjoy the nice power at higher speeds to get around cars quickly. My opinion is it's the best bike on the market today. I have read about poor gas mileage with the Royal Star. I have tested it myself and if you drive on the Interstates at 70 plus mph, I get the typical 36-38 mpg. But if I slow down and take the back roads at 55 mph.... (florida flat roads) I get 52 mpg... I could not beleive it. I tested it 5 times and each time I got 52 mpg. Ride safe. |

| I had one of the older ones called the Venture and I think it was somewhat the same bike but looked much different. Put 47k miles on it with not one problem. You will be happy with it. I traded it in on a V-Max. (second childhood) Jim |
