$2400, for a 07 with only 1300 miles, something doesn't smell right about it. Find out what year it is and we can give you a better answer.

I'm guessing you're not the Steven Tyler of Aerosmith since you're looking at a $2400 bike.

By what you described, that sounds like it's too good of a deal.

First lesson: Don't assume anything.

Where did you "find" it that you don't know the model year ??
Find out all the details, including the actual model year (I bet it's older than you think).
ASK if it's been wrecked....ASK, don't assume.

Does it fit you good?
Does it run good?

Maybe it's a fair deal; hard to tell without actually seeing it.
Something like that would be a good first bike......unless you are a REAL small person......or I guess a real large person either.

Blue book retail on that would be about $4200 to $4650.

For an 05, I would go for it, but not for your size. I'm 6'2'' and 175lbs. and I felt cramped when riding my uncles to see if I liked it, that's why I went with the C50.

Then blue book retail would be about $3700 to $4175. Still seems like $2400 is a little low. Maybe they are a very motivated seller which of course would make me wonder why.

Whatever you decide with it, arrange a test ride to see if you are comfortable on it and take it to a shop for an inspection.

This is where having a buddy who is a bike mechanic or knows bikes very well helps. Do you know someone like that? (besides us on here that don't live near you!)

Ya know, I completely skipped the most important part of the first post, this being your first time. I would highly suggest taking the MSF course, it will give you the basics of riding, and should also make up your mind if you think you will even enjoy riding or not.

I would take him along and have him test ride the bike, but also take a little time sitting on it yourself.

Is this bike where you can ride it. I ask because I just read this on our local craiglist:

"PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE SCAMMERS TRYING TO SELL YOU A 2004 OR NEWER MOTORCYCLE REAL CHEAP, AROUND $2000 TO $3000 RANGE. THEY SAY E- BAY IS HANDLING THE SHIPPING. DONT BELIVE THEM. E-BAY DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT.

SO IF YOU SEE AN AD THAT THE SELLERS LOCATION IS USA, OR UNITED STATES.
ITS A SCAMMER.

DONT BE CONED OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY."

i the owner military? Often military members who are moving will sell things like cars and motorcycles becase they can't take it to places like Europe of central america. Often those deals are spctacular because they need to sell NOW or else give it away. Cinci, OH is close to Wright-Pat air force base isn't it? Just a thought, otherwise like most of the guys here if it's too good a deal be aware. One last thought, e might be in a hurry to sell cause he needs the cash to buy a new bike and wants the money now.
