Thumbs up

Tex,
The bike looks great. You actually motivated me to start moving forward on mine again. I will attach some pictures the next time I post. Again, very nice job.

Hey Tex you need to let bring my dad over to see this bike He restored a '69 Bonniville many years ago and loves the old Triumphs.

Thanks for all the comments y'all. I have had it out several times now, keeping it in the neighborhoods. It actually handles fairly well with the big Dunlop Gold Seal tires. Front brake may take some fine tuning to make it more effective, it's the twin shoe type. Although it's wound pretty tight past fifty, it's been a blast to buzz around on!

Enjoy the "Dragon", and give me a holler when you get back, DR. We'll hook up for some local riding...

Triumph makes some very tempting bikes, but my only local dealer sucks so I'm not going there....

Light small bikes have always been a complete blast to ride, but the selection is pretty limited in the US any more.

I love the retro look that the Triumphs continue to breed. But the fact that there's a "high maintenance" chain to deal with turns me off of the continued romance.

Man that turned out great!!!!

Makes me want to dragout the '69 CB160 and get started on it. But first thing first lets get the '81 GS650G going. That looks like a very simple but fun bike!!!

Sorry man, The prince has been shot in the foot about this for a long time, most of their stuff was good quality for its day, main problem was in the designers positioning of Lucas units, and lack on maintenance, and poor cheep wiring harnesses

I still use all Lucas on my Norton's BSA's and Triumphs and prefer to Boyer etc

Nice, real nice. I've got a buddy who's crazy for Triumphs. I'll have to show him your pics. I hope I can keep him from drooling on the key board.
