Default Strapping a 2 liter bottle of soda on a rack is not good.

I strapped a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi on the rack with the cap facing me. I ws a little deturbed by a lady who was riding my tail, when I felt the cap hit me in the back. I glanced back to see if I had room to pull over and rescue my bike from soda spilling all over it, when I saw the most amazing sight. The bottle had become a missle and promptly exploded on the front of this ladies car. Had she been a safe distance away it would have missed her completely. I had no idea soda bottles can become missles on bikes. I knew they will get shacken, but did not know they will launch if on their sides. I had very little soda on my bike but did not act like I even knew what happened. I decided that was simply one tailgater off my backside.
