| This isnt a lesson I learned but a lesson a friend learned from me A couple months ago we picked up a 1984 p.e 175, and it doesnt look like a fast bike but i made it better by adding new ufo front and rear fenders, knuckleguards, seat cover, brand new kenda tires, new handlebars, and smaller front sprocket for more tourque... but compared to a newer bike it still doesnt look fast. About a week ago, my friend who owns a 2003 ttr-125 asked me to go bikeing and he hadnt seen my bike and was excpecting a lot nicer bike when he saw it. Well, what he didnt know, is that my bike was actually a lot faster than his nice new bike. so i take my bike off the truck with him thinking that it probably wont even start, and looking at me like ...are you serious..and kinda laughing at it... but that look went away extremely fast when i started it second kick. His laugh also disappeard once i popped it into first gear and brought the front end up with without a problem. So now he feels like he has to whip out his newer nicer looking bike and show how much faster it is than mine... He now knows never to judge a bike by how it looks. And to never race me again |

| Not that I'm doubting your buddy's skills, but it seems the older bike has a better rider as well.

| A TTR is a heavy four-stroke. I'm not surprised that the ol' PE took him. He shouldn't have been either. Obviously he's new to motorcycles.
