My Mom was dead set against me having a bike for years...Threatened to take away my lifeline in college if I bought one, (so I Didn't), Told me how "your father got hit, etc." so I didn't. Finally after about 8 years of wanting one, the opportunity presented itself. I got a huge guilt trip. What does your wife think about this, Your going to end up a grease spot. She has backed off now. I just gotta keep reminding her that I took the MSF class, I ride in gear, etc. I don't think she will ever ride again, which is too bad. She and my Dad used to ride all the time. Dad got rearended at a stop, thankfully no injuries, fixed the bike, and sold it. Hasn't been on a bike now for twenty years. Hoping to get him on mine, so we can ride together. BTW, I'm glad I waited for a few year to get my bike...I am much more in control of my "push the envelope" switch than I was when I first wanted to get a bike.
