Sixth gear hitting a corner at 60? Dude, you need to keep that 600 mill wound up! You couldn't have been above 5K rpm . . . you should have been in the 6K+ range!!!
More like 10K range. Do it right.

Won't spin up as bad as a 750 or 1000! Actually more manageable.

Power!
The meat is absolutely right. You gotta' keep the R's up. Throttle roll (off and on) is crucial.

I'm thinking the engine would be bucking big time and nearly about to stall at that speed in 6th. Plus you don't have any roll on power in 6th too. Find the start of your power band rpms range and aim for that when entering a turn and with scrubbed in tires, untill your scrapping a peg you can go deeper.

Slow in fast out. Look where you WANT to go. If you are gonna look at a mailbox.....thats where you're gonna go. Play that tomorrow. Space off looking ahead of your turn; you'll be suprised how smooth the corner is with target fixation.

One more bit of advice . . .

When I realized that turning the bike was MUCH more fulfilling than pinning the throttle, I started taking corners at a speed that I knew I could make, and I would intentionally tighten up the line HARD to prove to myself that the traction was there . . . that I could have gone in with more speed.

Eventually, you find yourself riding where you can't do the hard tightening of the line anymore . . . that's when you're starting to boogy.

You can look at the speedo, but do it once before you get there and roll on the throttle through it.

Familiar corners yield familiar entry speeds.

need to relax and empty your head about what happend, cant ride when your minds not in it. be confident also, but dont let it go to your head. dont be scarred of what happened or be thinkin of what could have happen or willl happen too seriously, cause thats when things will unravel around you.
