| This past Sunday I was on a break in run on my C50, traveling on a nifty 2 lane semi rural highway. I was really getting into a groove when I came to a reduce speed zone ahead sign. I eased up on the throttle a bit and slowed down, Up ahead of me about 25 yards the biggest deer that I have ever seen in my 10 years in Florida bounded across the road to the other side and stopped to look back from were it came from. While all this was ocurring needless to say I was on the binders rather hard and downshiffting. I glanced in my mirror and saw a vehicle (cage) coming up fast behind me, I flipped on my emergency flashers and as I approched the spot were the deer was at about 5 MPH in first gear, sure enough a smaller one "Walked" across the road about 10 feet ahead of me. I cleared him and then gave the C50 a work out up thru the gears. This is something I didn't learn today thankfully the hard way. Remmeber when a deer stops and looks back to were it came from, odds are there are others waiting for a all clear signal from the lead deer.

| Excellent advice. Non-hunters may not know that sort of thing. Thanks! (I edited your title for informational reasons)

| Hunting tips are good for every one to know. Deer look back to see if others are following. The buck will always stay behind the Does. BANGGGGGGGG.

| I always assume there is more than one deer. Look-back or not. Good advice. If I had a nickel for every time I've scrubbed down the speed moments before that second deer to crossed . . . I'd have some change.

| Muscle Biker ![]() | The same applies to wild boars ... they usually travel in groups, and any one of them will certainly ruin your day.

| Today I was slowing down for T intersection to turn left onto Zero Ave., 2 peacocks come out from one driveway and cross in front of me to another driveway. In front of this driveway is a wooden, handwritten sign, PEACOCK CROSSING. No Boars tho. |

I think I'd rather take my chances with the wild boar. | |

| Muscle Biker ![]() | The USA is slanted to the south west .... so all of the loose nuts roll to California.
