| Wondered if anyone has used the Slime tube sealant as a prevenitive measure or to seal a puncture in bike tube? And, what is your opinion of it? Thanks for any help. Doug. B.

| Seat Tester | I have, but that was on a dirt bike... and with all the holes in that tube and possibly whatever it was that caused the puncture in the first place re-puncturing the tube, it didnt work. I have used it in my car before though, and it worked fine to get me 200km to the nearest mechanic - although at reduced speeds. He had a horrible time getting the now-dried gell out of the tyre to patch it though (and that was tubeless). I would guess that for a tube, it might get you to where u need to go, but it would definately be a throwaway item after that.

| I use slime in my bike..... mountain bike that is. I wouldn't want the goop in any sort of tire that is going to go more than 25mph. I could see it making your wheels out of balance very quickly.

| Used it in my rear tire once. Said on the label "Not good for use at speeds over 65 mph" which is fine with my bike. It worked for about 20 minutes, then the tire was flat as a pancake again.

We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, its dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Hey, psycho, we're not getting back together. Now get out of my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up. |

| Check out www.ride-on.com for an alternative to Slime that is not speed limited and does not scum up your wheel. I just put some in today and testing on the highway seems pretty smooth.
